About Quranflash

"Quranflash" had started in February 2007 as a simple microsite displaying the Holy Quran (Medina layout), in a very interactive way. The project had taken approximately 2 months of work to be accomplished by a few volunteers. The idea behind Quranflash came from a project developed and managed by the same members, Flash-eBook.com. This was later on developed into a software to convert pdf documents to interactive ebooks and create digital bookshelves that run on Android, iOS, and web named Kotobee. Quranflash was initially a demo for large scale applications using Flash-eBook.

However, Quranflash had opened people's hearts and became a popular method of reading Quran, receiving unexpected numbers of over 10 thousand visitors daily. Therefore a decision was made to renovate the website design-wise as well as function-wise, especially incorporating the option of selecting among different Quran books to read. It is worth noting here to our non-Muslim visitors that there is only one version of the Quran, but the different books here represent different styles of writing to enhance the reading, understanding, and/or memorization process.

This renovation has taken approximately 4 months, and through Allah's will, was completed by the end of August 2007.

With the increasing number of visitors from different backgrounds, Quranflash launched a new version in 2013, containing more interactive features. The user can interact with each verse separately and access functions such as audio listening, interpretation, translations, transliteration, textual copying, bookmarking, commenting, sharing, and highlighting.

This version of Quranflash features a powerful zooming function, very practical, comparing to the previous function. It is synchronized with the user's facebook account, to keep all bookmarks, highlights, etc, accessible from anywhere.

It also features an innovative page-by-page audio recitation function, coupled with the page layouts, with automatic navigation. This feature provides a point-to-point looping function to help with Quran memorization.

The Company

After managing Quranflash's development for several years alongside a number of different projects, the Quranflash team has created Vijua, an interactive media solutions company, based in Egypt, that umbrellas all the projects including Quranflash. The company, registered in late 2011, also provides a number of services within interactive media, such as customized interactive ebooks, games development, and mobile apps.

The company mission is to "Provide world-class interactive media products and solutions that are entertaining, useful and addictive!".

The website may be used freely for personal benefit without the need for any kind of online registration.
